ABOUT US
We are a small business based out of Oakridge, Oregon that started initially in the Whiteaker neighborhood of Eugene. Our initial focus was primarily upcycling spent material from local breweries, wineries and coffee roasters creating functional and unique products while inspiring others to adopt similar sustainability practices. If it can be made using a barrel, grain sack or coffee bag we have probably done it. Over the years we've adapted to take on other work like re-creating existing furniture and renovating old houses. 'Re-creation' for us involves taking old furniture that might otherwise be thrown out and incorporating barrel pieces to create a one-of-a-kind piece. Renovating houses for us involves taking an existing structure that might otherwise be torn down completely or partially and giving new life to the space with the intent of preventing and minimizing waste while maximizing space and functionality. In todays world, we often times tear down and start over because its easier but the impact it has is far reaching in terms of resources used and the waste it creates.
Our biggest passion and where you will find us most of the time is in nature all over the pacific northwest likely with a camera or two in hand. Although there is nothing quite like experiencing these places in person, the hope is that the photographs of these wild spaces will inspire others to not only get out and explore these places but to also prioritize the protection of them. There is nothing more important to us than protecting the land we love and immersing ourselves in the mountains and forests that surround us. This is what motivates us to do what we do. Maybe you could say our mission is to 're-create' so we can continue to recreate.
